Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EXPRESS LOGISTICS LONDON LTD handles information in connection with the Express Carrier Dispatch Android application, published under the package name uk.co.expresscarrier.transit.exlog.route.expresslondon.
Express Carrier Dispatch is a locally used, inspection-first dispatch readiness review tool. Users inspect a specific dispatch category, area or block, score condition across structured checklist categories, view a readiness heatmap and checklist deltas, cluster issues, and generate practical follow-up actions. Results are saved on the device and can be exported locally.
This policy applies to the Android application. It describes what the app stores on the device, what the company does and does not receive, and the choices available to users.
The application keeps its working information locally in the app's own storage on the Android device. Depending on what the user enters, saves or attaches, this local app content may include:
The application allows users to add optional local photos or image references as evidence for an inspection. These items are selected by the user and stored as local app content on the device. They are not automatically sent to the developer. The inspection and review workflow can also be used without adding any photos.
Exported summaries are generated on the device and may be saved, copied or shared through Android system actions. This happens only when the user chooses to do so. Data remains on the device unless the user chooses to export, copy or share it. Files the user exports remain wherever the user saves or sends them.
The app may open external Android services, such as a browser or an email client, when the user selects a link or a contact action. Those external services operate under their own privacy practices.
The application does not require login or account registration, does not use cloud synchronisation, and does not hold app content on company servers. It does not provide payment or subscription functionality, and it does not provide monetisation features.
The company does not receive the boards, inspection results, checklist statuses, scores, notes or photos that a user creates in the app. That information stays on the user's device and is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow, and the company does not keep copies of local app content on its own systems. If a user contacts the company by email, the company receives the email address and whatever the message contains; that correspondence is separate from the app's workflow data.
Local inspection and review data remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears the app's local data through Android device settings, or uninstalls the application. Exported files remain wherever the user chooses to save or share them.
Local app content is kept within the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers. Protecting the device itself, for example with the screen lock the user configures, remains with the user.
Express Carrier Dispatch is a practical review aid. Readiness scores, heatmaps, clusters and suggested follow-up actions are based on the observations and entries the user supplies, and are intended for informational and practical review purposes only. They are not a certification of roadworthiness, legal compliance, delivery performance, parcel tracking accuracy or regulatory status, and they are not legal, financial, insurance or regulatory advice. Formal professional, safety, compliance and operational decisions remain with the user and the responsible organisation.
For users in the UK or the EEA, rights under applicable data protection legislation, such as access, correction, deletion and restriction, may be available where they apply in law. Whether they apply depends on whether personal data is processed by the company. Because the core workflow stores content locally, information held on the device can usually be reviewed, changed or removed on the device itself, or by uninstalling the application. Requests about information the company holds, such as correspondence sent by email, can be made using the contact details below.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such information is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.
This policy may be updated from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the application or in legal requirements. When it changes, the date shown with this policy is updated. Users are encouraged to read the current version.
